Fresh Plate Farm is a CSA farm
Our farm is part of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). This means that community members "purchase" a share in the garden each year. Shares are offered at specific times. Ours will start the week of June 19 and will run for 15 weeks. A share is a box of produce, between 8-12 items that will feed approximately 4 people for a week. Boxes can be picked up or delivered, weekly, to a designated location. We are also offering half shares, which will be available every other week. Half shares are perfect for 1-2 people.
Shares are purchased at the beginning of the growing season.
CSA shares are a great way of getting fresh produce, free of GMO, at slightly better than store prices.
A full share membership is $425, this will purchase 15 weeks of produce and a half share is $200, (7 weeks)

What can our customers expect to see in each produce box?
While we can not guarantee what will be in the boxed share each week, we can share what is usually in harvest for each week (see chart below). Each share will have 8-12 different garden items in it. The more items that are ready for harvest, the more variety that will be in the share. The dollar value of each box will average over $30.00 using (retail produce prices.)
